Plus the sparks between the two was palpable. Their conversations/spats drew me in and made me love them more.

I loved the spark between the two protagonists. Although Minerva denies her feelings for Giles, she hasn’t stopped loving him Giles had to put a stop to it as she was starting to allude to Giles’ undercover duties to the Crown. Because of this, Minerva started writing serials with Giles as the villain. Miranda starts falling in love with Giles as a young child during her parent’s death, however, falls out of love when Giles gave her the set down in her teens. Giles and Minerva are the perfect pair! The third book in the Hellions of Halstead Hall series is one if my favorites.
